Can I bring my own appliances?
In order to have a minimal footprint on the planet, we have chosen to power Glenayr Farm using solar power which is only capable of a light load. So please only use the power to charge phones, lap tops, lanterns, speaker and to power the lights, TV, fridge and toaster. Items like a hairdryer or kitchen appliances will overload the system.
Is our tent away from others?
Our tents are 15m apart for privacy and a maximum of 50m to the amenities block.
What other facilities do you offer?
Glenayr Farms guest lounge is our communal guest hub with a couch, pool table, darts, a large wall mounted noughts and crosses, TV with 300 DVDs, a selection of books, a selection of board games, a swing hanging from our beautiful tree, a dam with a jetty. In the kitchen we have a an indoor 12 seater dining table, an outdoor 14 seater dining table, a 12 seater dining table by the dam, a 12 seater dining table under out signature tree, an indoor fire place, an large outdoor fit pit, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a fire blanket, a fridge / freezer, a gas cook-top, a large BBQ, a kettle, all crockery, cutlery, serving dishes and glass ware, staples like tea, coffee, sugar, long life milk, salt, pepper, oil, BBQ and tomato sauce
Will we get phone and internet coverage?
Glenayr Farm has mobile phone coverage with Telstra, but not with Optus.
Am I allowed to bring my dog?
Glenayr Farm is located in a rural area which is home to lots of sheep, cattle and Australian wildlife, so unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any pets. However, if you can guarantee your pooch is the perfect guest, we may be able to make arrangements for Group Bookings only. Please contact us to discuss.
What are the roads like? Do I need a 4WD Vehicle?
The road from Mudgee to Glenayr Farm is sealed, however our 1km driveway past the end of the sealed road is dirt, but if you drive slowly and carefully, the access is perfectly accessible for 2wd’s. However, we don’t recommend you bring your Maserati.
How are the tents cooled and heated?
By mother nature.
Do we need to bring our own linen?
All linen and towels are provided.
Are camp fires permitted?
Due to the high fire risk of the property – the outdoor fire-pits cannot be used at all from December 1st to March 1st (subject to change based on local conditions). They are also not to be used during any windy conditions or any total fire ban days.
Is fire wood supplied?
We are one of the few accomodation places that supply fire wood, kindling and firestarters. We supply a generous amount, however, if you run out, you can wonder around the property and collect your own or you can drive 5 minutes down the road to the Bushland Caravan Park at 1879 Windeyer Rd, Windeyer (next door to the pub), where you can buy more.
Where is the closest shop to get supplies from?
5 minutes down the road to the Bushlands Tourist Park at 1879 Windeyer Rd, Windeyer (next door to the pub), has a great little shop to grab any supplies you may need. Open 8am till 7pm.
Are there showers?
Yes, we have a lovely modern amenity block with hot and cold showers and flushing toilets.
What cooking facilities are available for me to use?
Our communal area has a large BBQ with a wok burner, a gas stove, a slow cooker and in winter when you use the indoor wood fire, it double as a wood fired pizza oven, however, please note that it takes a good hour to heat up to a high temperature to cook the pizza.
Is the water drinkable?

If you are unhosted, how do we gain access to the tents and communal area?
Upon booking, an email will be sent to you with instructions and codes.
When is check-in and check-out time?
Check-in time is 2pm and checkout time is 10am. If you need an earlier or later time, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your needs.
Is Glenayr Farm Child Friendly?
Yes, especially for group bookings. If you book just 1 or 2 tents, please be mindful of the other guests peace and quiet. We can provide a fold out bed at a one off fee of $100. Please note that we do have unfenced dams on our farm.
What is your Noise Policy?
The joy of Glenayr Farm is the peace and tranquillity. Noise does travel and we like our neighbours and don’t want to upset them. So, we would appreciate if you kept noise to a minimum and turn things down after 10pm, not only out of respect to our other guests, but also for our neighbours.
Am I allowed to have a loud party?
If you book out Glenayr Farm exclusively (including the Luxury Villa), we do host up to 18 guests. But please be mindful of our noise policy above.
How far away are the Villas from the Glamping?
About 500 meters. This gives the ultimate privacy, however, if you book all accomodation for a group booking, they are all still close enough to each other.
Can I book the hot tub if I just book 1 tent?
Unfortunately not as there is no way to make this ‘exclusive’. So the hot tub is only available for group bookings only. If you do want the hot tub experience for a romantic getaway for 2 people, please book the Luxury Villa.
If I make a group booking, can the guests who have booked the villa use the facilities of the communal area?
No, Group Bookings receive exclusive use of the communal area. The Villas are completely seperate and private with their own facilities.
Is the Bunk House suitable for adults?
The bunkhouse does sleep 8 people in 2 interconnecting rooms. One room has a queen bed and the other room has 2 bunks with a double on the bottom and a single on the top. It is a ‘cosy’ space best suited for children.
Is Glenayr Farm suitable for a large family getaway?
Absolutely! It’s perfect for a large family gathering. Generation 1 gets the Luxury Villa, Generation 2 get the bell tents and Generation 3 get the bunk house.
